YouTube Privacy Settings

Keep your competition from spying on your videos!

Did you know that every video you upload has publicly  available stats? Anyone watching your video can see where your visitors are coming from.

Every video has a Statistic button, unless you Disable this in your Privacy settings this information if available to prying eyes.

By clicking the Statistics Icon for ANY video, all this information become available.

How to Disable your video statistics.

  1. Login to your YouTube Channel
  2. Goto your “Account Settings”
  3. Click on the “Privacy Settings” link on the right hand side
  4. Uncheck the box “Make statistics and data for my videos publicly visible by default”

Once you’ve disabled your video stats for all videos on your channel the only information that will be available to the public is how many Honors your video has gotten, if any.

Disabling your video statistics is a good idea especially if you’re buying views or running promoted videos using YouTubes ad system. The less your competition knows about how you’re getting your video popular the better!
